Memorial Weekend

Cecelia got a chance to check out the (very cold) water for the first time. She couldn't help herself! Every time she splashed herself she gasped at the cold. She loved playing in the sand at Grandma and Grandpa Herder's cabin.
We also got her first pony-tail in. She is starting to look more like a girl. What started as a long piece of hair that looked like a comb-over on a balding man, has turned into a cute little pony.

Mom's Birthday

After a sad start to the day with the burial of Great Grandma Arndt, the Elliott's celebrated Ann's birthday with a great meal made by Mark and Scott - a seafood extravaganza! The day ended up being beautiful and we enjoyed part of the afternoon outside. Ce Ce is learning to kiss and here is a pic of her puckering up - Auntie Ellie does a great job taking most of my photos these days.

She loves running around the yard or taking a ride in the wagon she got from Grandma and Grandpa Elliott. Mark has taught her to run up and down the hills and to enjoy falling down in th grass.

A tribute to Great Grandma Arndt

Ce Ce's great grandmother, Christine Cecelia Arndt passed away on April 24th at the age of 90. Grandma Arndt passes down a love of family, the outdoors, a good game of cards and a great sense of pride and self esteem to Cecelia.
We will all miss her, wish her great joy on her journeys and look forward to the day we meet again.

Time to get Blogging

Time flies when you have a girl growing too fast. Starting a blog is overdue for family and friends interested in keeping up with her growth, development, and comical activities. Here is a picture from January with CeCe's first shiner. Now we are dealing with scraped and bruised legs as she is figuring out how to run and play outside at full speed. The falls and scrapes never slow her down. She is a real trouper.
