Fall Fun

Cecelia and her folks went to Mazeppa to check out the early fall color and pick some apples and pumpkins. We took a little wagon ride up the hill to a beautiful orchard where we could pick our own apples, pumpkins and even grapes. CeCe had some great fun picking Honeycrispapples - and of course eating them.

We 've started the remodeling!

First things first, a new kitchen! We found a garage sale on the way home from the zoo - this "new" kitchen was only $3.50. CeCe loves the noises it makes and has been busy cooking with "Chef Tony" almost every day since we got it. So next time you are over, CeCe will be more than happy to make you some tea. She finds it hilarious to dump out her imaginary "tea" and have Mom say "No No No! Messy, Messy Messy!"
As for the real remodeling, let's just wait and see what this economy does! That is also, Messy, Messy, Messy!!

A day with Mom and Dad at the Zoo

Mark had not seen the new bear exhibit (it really is something) and we had a beautiful day with nothing on the calendar, so off to the zoo we went. It seems like the modern zoo exhibits really stress getting in there with the animals. As a parent you get the feeling that you are really happy that the plexiglass is so thick. I have a feeling those bears wouldn't mind a kid snack, especially when it is just a few inches away. It was mostly nap time for the animals, but we had a great time checking everything out.

Dancin Queen

We spent a fun Labor Day weekend up at Grandma and Grandpa Herder's cabin. Auntie Ellie and Uncle Scott were there too while Dad had to work. Below is a video of some of Ce's new dance moves - very impressive! There was a lot of swimming and swinging during the weekend and we also learned that the word 'fork' can have a very disturbing pronunciation when coming out of the mouth of a 20 month old.
