Fun at the Park with Auntie Ellie

We had a fun weekend when Grandma and Grandpa Elliott spent the night on Friday. Sunday was a day at the park with Auntie Ellie (these are her photos). Monday back to school for Mom and a day at daycare. CeCe is putting up with daycare ok - lot's of dolls and a fun play kitchen to work in. This afternoon we will be off to the state fair with our old neighbors Derek and Sue.

Mom is Back to work

Sabbatical is over - part of me is glad and another part sad. After some initial tears, CeCe seemed to enjoy the day playing Mommy with the other girls in daycare. Dad gets to spend more quality time with her too while Mom is at work. Here is a cute pic of the two of them working on a computer project (she already knows how to use a mouse!)

CeCe and her Mini-Me

We had a great weekend with the Thomas's from down the street. We started Saturday off with a boat trip, went to the Randolph Fireman's dance (CeCe loved to dance) and finished up around the bonfire. On Sunday, Bobbi's grandson Thomas came to join us for a little pool party. We didn't have any blue swim pants, but he did not seem to mind. They almost look like they could be related! Same curls, same blue eyes, same little tummies and same little pink pants (sorry Thomas!)

Bike Ride and Ice Cream

We have had some fun this summer enjoying the weather. We spent one afternoon at the Dakota County Fair (of course I forgot the camera). CeCe loved the midway although she is still to young to enjoy the rides. She also got a kick out of the animals, but refused to touch any.
That same weekend, Mark and I took her on the Cannon Trail for a ride to Welsh on the bikes. She seemed to put up with the ride pretty well, but the best part was probably the ice cream in Welsh.

Little Baby MaMa

Auntie Lisa had mentioned how much fun Morgan and CeCe had pushing baby strollers around while CeCe was visiting in July. I picked up a stroller at Once Upon a Child, and CeCe has been thrilled to push her baby around. She takes her job seriously (as you can see here). I tried to get a shot of her on her cell phone pushing the stroller (a true multi-tasker), but the moment did not wait for me to take the shot.

A Fun Weekend at Grandma and Granpa's

CeCe's family had a great time this weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Elliott's. The weather was great and we had some wonderful boat rides around Red Ceder. We got to catch up with Ann's family too since her Uncle Steve and Aunt Cindy have a house on the same lake and other Arndt family were up for the weekend visiting. CeCe loved playing with her Great Grandma Elliott and even got to spend some time with her Great Uncle Bob and Aunt Wendy who were visiting from Texas. It was a great time to catch up and just relax.

A day at the Zoo

CeCe and her mom enjoyed a day at the zoo with some friends while Dad was at work. It was a hot day, but Ce enjoyed the animals (mostly the kids at the zoo) and was a trouper for the hot day. The new grizzly exhibit and the Minnesota Trail are our favorites.

Goofing Off

Sorry for the minimal postings the last few weeks. CeCe ended up with hand foot and mouth disease (sores on her feet mostly and a night with fever and vomiting), so there was not much to include for pictures from that weekend. Despite her illness (which she has mostly recovered from), you can see how she remained a clown throughout.
