A Quick Visit from Kelly Girl

Kelly Girl came into town to meet up with family and friends after their round the world trip. She has been gone four years, so it was fun to introduce her to Cecelia - the two got along just great. We had a lot of fun with a dinner in her honor on Wednesday and got a chance to go for a fun boat ride on Thursday. It was a short but fun visit.

Yogi Bear Campground with Morgan

We had a great time camping with Morgan while her folks worked on moving to Apple Valley (yeah! Much closer!). We went to a Jellystone Park near Austin and swam, danced, played in the playgrounds, panned for valuable stones and pet animals. The girls were exhausted by Saturday night - Morgan fell asleep in the middle of prayers and Cecelia wouldn't wake up on Sunday morning even when Morgan was tickling her feet. Here are some pics from the weekend.

A Day at the Fair

CeCe and I spent the day at the Dakota County Fair. it was Kid's Day at the fair with plenty of free gifts for the kids and a lot of fun stuff to do. She loved the Big Machine Petting Zoo put on by the county where you can crawl around on all kinds of big equipment. She was into anything with a horn. Her Dad joined us after work and we got a chance to check out a rabbit obsticle course - very cool. Here are some pics from our day.

Just too Cute

I just had to post these great pics of the girl - we are having a lot of fun together this summer. It gets harder and harder to get her to pose, so I have to catch her when she is busy doing something else. The summer is almost gone, but we are still visiting water parks, playgrounds, boating and bicycling the neighborhood playing with her friend Isabella.

Messy, Messy, Messy

For some reason, I always thought that the really messy kid pictures were taken of kids between the ages of one and two. CeCe is daily putting my assumption to the test. Here we see the devastating effects of cherries and on another occasion chocolate. It isn't pretty, but it is pretty cute.

More Zoo Fun

We signed up for another year membership at the zoo. It just has too much to do on sunny and rainy days too. CeCe loves trains and the Monorail is a real hit weather we are riding it or just catch a glimpse as we are walking around. They have a great outdoor African exhibit - the giraffes are too cool. Not to mention the bear exhibit. I just can't get over how close the animals get. We got a little too close to a little goat in the family farm exhibit on a recent visit. CeCe really fell apart when the little bugger stuck his face out from a hole in the fence and ate her goldfish crackers. She still speaks of the tragedy often, "the goat ate my goldfish". Unless Mom is there to explain what that means, people just shake their heads and say, "Oh, that's nice."
