Winter in Minnesota

We have hit the middle of winter - a pretty snowy one. Here are some shots from Rhoda and some other pics showing how a girl passes the time on a winter day.

Meeting Cousin John Peter

CeCe took the six hour trip down to Kansas City to meet her new cousin John Peter and to catch up with her cousin Glorie. Glorie is 5 days older, an inch taller and has a beautiful mane of hair. She was so kind to share her toys with Ce. We had a lot of fun - she just loved that baby! He looks just like his sister did when she was a baby. The girls spent an afternoon at Paradise Park (an indoor play area) and got to decorate their faces.

Remembering Uncle Jim

Grandpa Bob's older brother Jim passed away on December 14 after fighting a tough battle with brain cancer. It's been a hard year for the Herders with this death and the death of Uncle Pudge, so it was great that Uncle Jim's kids all came back to Minnesota for a memorial. We hosted his daughter Kathy and her family (including a 2 1/2 year old Grayson). It was great to see so many cousins and to catch up with each other.
