Lightning and Thunder???

What I thought were snowplows going by turned out to be thunder in the middle of a blizzard! CeCe was pretty worried at first until we started talking about how "Weird" it is and how "We can't believe it!!". It's coming down fast and furious and the wind is howling too, so we didn't last long outside. Here is a picture of what we are seeing outside and of the little snow-monster coming in from outside. We'd love to hear what it looks like outside your window, so post a comment below.
We are just starting to hit the real fun of the terrible twos. The world will end and a tantrum will follow if you use the evil word "no" with the girl that should be in charge of everything. Wish us luck!!

Nevermind...

New reports just in show that the Bigfoot scare was just a hoax. Apparently CeCe is playing in her new monkey suit (picked up cheap at Once Upon a Child) - we will see if it survives until Halloween. In the meantime, the girl is really enjoying the day dressed as a monkey. However, Oscar and Charlie are not impressed.

For those interested in how CeCe's arm is healing, there seems to be almost daily improvement. She still leans on her left arm more than the right, but the incisions are healing nicely (finally) and she has stopped tucking her little finger behind her other fingers for a more normal appearance to her relaxed hand. The dexterity still needs some work, but we are happy with how fast things are coming along.

A Bigfoot Sighting??

We have unconfirmed reports of a large footed brown animal scurrying around the Elliott house. These two pictures (while blurry) appear to show the beast. More later as events develop....

BORED!

I don't know if CeCe ever gets bored, but it looked this way when she was waiting to get ready for daycare one day. She mostly got both hands in her pockets (I think one ended up down her pants). She tries to hang onto the nuk as much as possible - and she pulled it off in this picture, but we are doing our best to make sure it ends up in bed so bedtime is a treat for everyone instead of an end to the fun. Winter is long, and with the broken arm, it has been hard to get out and enjoy the outdoors. I think we will try it today - just goof off in the snow.

Will you be my Valentine??

CeCe spent Valentine's evening with Grandma and Grandpa Herder (very romantic!), while her folks got away with their old neighbors Derek and Sue for dinner and bowling. We all had a fun evening and CeCelia and her folks wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!!
